NBL 15F 3007, on display in Glasgow, August 2007 (with photos)

(From Ken Livermore's e-mail with first photos received of 3007's display in George Square Glasgow August 2007)

She Made It ! As planned, NBL / SAR 15F No. 3007 went on display in George Square, Glasgow from 24th to 26th August.

The event was a huge successs and received a great deal of media coverage including TV interviews with Robbie Coltrane and Carol Smillie.

I couldn't get quite the same shot as the Indian Loco in the square in the 1950's but hopefully the attached pictures will give you the general idea.

Our website : www.nbloco.net shows full details of the 15F project and of 3 more North British steam locomotive preservation schemes currently underway.

Please pass this information on to anyone who may be interested.

Our August Newsletter should be out by the end of the week. Thanks & Best Regards, Ken Ken Livermore Hon. Secretary NBL Preservation Group

(End of e-mail)

Note: NBL 3007 was on display, in George Square, as part of a fund raising initiative on behalf of Museum of Transport Appeal, Glasgow for the move to new premises, which is partly being funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund.
